E-CORRESPONDENCE - Email Writing

 E-Correspondence/E-Mail:

·         When correspondence through online means of email is done, it is called ‘E-correspondence’.

·         Traditionally correspondence is done thorugh paper, which takes longer time than e-correspondence.

·         E-correspondence is quicker. Now it has become the preferable way of communication in the organisations.

·         Security is one of the issues in e-correspondence through email. There is possibility of hacking the mail ID and stealing the information. Hence, Anti-virus software and firewalls should be used to protect from hacking.

·         E-mail writing has become important these days. Hence, one must learn how to write it.

 

Features of an E-Mail:

· * E-mails are cost effective. They provide faster communication compared to traditional communication based on paper.

·      *  With the help of smart phones, emails can be accessed anywhere

* * Outlook on the computers help us compose many formats of email. There are ready-made formats of emails also.

·        * Unwanted emails are sent to junk or spam folders.

·        * Important mails can be maintained separately.

·      * Along with the emails, we can share documents, presentations, images, videos and so on.

·        * Signatures are also customizable depending on our requirements to the email

*   * Automatic emailing is also possible.
